01Is XF1 Mouse free?
Yes. It’s free during early access, until 31 December 2026. After that, a paid version with a free trial will be available. Keep automatic updates on to get it.
02Why does it need Accessibility permission?
To see right-button drags before other apps do and to send shortcuts like ⌃→ for you. Every mouse and window utility on macOS needs this. XF1 Mouse has no account and doesn’t send your input anywhere.
03Do you collect any data?
Almost none, and nothing personal. To know how many people use XF1 Mouse, we count downloads and update checks anonymously: just the date and app version. Your Mac simply mentions whether it’s its first check of the day, week or month, so we can count active Macs without any identifier. IP addresses are never stored. Page visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. If you send feedback, we keep what you write and, only if you add it, your email so we can reply.
04Does it work with Logitech, Razer or other mice?
Yes, any mouse with a right button works. You can also use the middle button (wheel click) as the gesture button.
05Desktop switching doesn’t work
Turn on “Move left a space” and “Move right a space” in System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts… → Mission Control, and make sure you have at least two desktops.
06Can I turn it off for some apps?
Yes. Add games or design tools that need right-drag under Preferences → Excluded Apps.
07How do updates and uninstalling work?
XF1 Mouse updates itself, or choose Check for Updates… from its menu-bar icon. To uninstall, quit it from the menu bar and move it from Applications to the Trash.
