Questions
Is XF1 Mouse free?
Yes. It’s free during early access, until 31 December 2026. After that, a paid version with a free trial will be available. Keep automatic updates on to get it.
Why does it need Accessibility permission?
To see right-button drags before other apps do and to send shortcuts like ⌃→ for you. Every mouse and window utility on macOS needs this. XF1 Mouse has no analytics and no account, and doesn’t send your input anywhere.
Does it work with Logitech, Razer or other mice?
Yes, any mouse with a right button works. You can also use the middle button (wheel click) as the gesture button.
Desktop switching doesn’t work
Turn on “Move left a space” and “Move right a space” in System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts… → Mission Control, and make sure you have at least two desktops.
Can I turn it off for some apps?
Yes. Add games or design tools that need right-drag under Preferences → Excluded Apps.
How do updates and uninstalling work?
XF1 Mouse updates itself, or choose Check for Updates… from its menu-bar icon. To uninstall, quit it from the menu bar and move it from Applications to the Trash.
